October is here! It’s almost that time of year again where the theme parks close their gates for the winter. But first, it’s the Halloween and Fireworks season – in my opinion, the best time to visit a theme park!

The Alton Towers Fireworks event is so much more than just a fireworks display – it’s a full themed show, usually based on nostalgic Alton Towers memories, complete with lasers, fire, lights, live actors and screens, all set in front of the iconic Towers ruins which are always beautifully lit up.

Here are 5 reasons why you should go to the Alton Towers Fireworks on the 5th, 6th or 7th November 2021.

1. The fireworks are as good as Disney

Yes, really.
I think Alton Towers Fireworks are just as good as Disney’s.

Don’t get me wrong, the way Disney do their daily evening spectaculars makes them the best in the world, however they have to do this every single night of the year, meaning the shows have to feasibly be reset daily.
Alton Towers on the other hand only have to setup and run the show 3 nights a year, leaving them a much larger budget for the end of season spectacular to really go out with a bang.

The Alton Towers Fireworks shows are always extremely good, clearly a lot of time and money goes in to creating the annual events, and the setting on the lawns with the Towers ruins as the backdrop is just as iconic as Disney’s castles in my opinion!

2. It’s still a full theme park day out

As the fireworks take place at 7PM, you don’t have to be at the lawns until the evening, leaving you the rest of the day to enjoy the UK’s biggest theme park.

You can still have a great, FULL day at Alton Towers before the fireworks, even if you claim your spot on the lawns early!

3. The autumn vibes

By the time Fireworks season rolls around, the weather has started to turn – the leaves are falling from the trees and the air is getting cold by the evening – I can’t think of a better way to spend the day than to wrap up in a comfy hoody and see one of the country’s best firework shows before the Winter arrives!

4. The atmosphere

There’s something about a busy theme park that just makes the day a little more magic, and I think visiting a park on a quiet day doesn’t quite feel the same.

Alton Towers usually sell out of tickets on Fireworks dates, meaning the park is at capacity, full of excited people waiting to watch the celebrations that evening! There is always a great atmosphere around the park, especially as the evening approaches and everyone gathers on the lawns ready for the show!

5. It’s Alton Towers at its best

There’s much more to Alton Towers than just the rides.
The hotels for example are un-discovered by most people, but they have their own charm along with brilliant live entertainment every night.
Fireworks season brings that entertainment aspect in to the park for everyone to enjoy, and it’s the perfect way to finish off a day of fun at the theme park.

In my opinion, Alton Towers doesn’t get any better than on Fireworks dates.
